The Confederation Building houses the Newfoundland and Labrador provincial House of Assembly. The building was completed in 1960. It sits high on a hill overlooking St. John's and the harbour.
One of a number of sculptures around the building. This one honors those service individuals who have died in the line of duty. Police, fire and emergency response.
The plaque on the memorial sculpture.
Statue of John Cabot stands near the main public entrance to the building.
Carman works as a page in the house during the sessions. We met her there for a tour and took time to sit in on the Question and Answer period.
We were introduced, as guests and parents of Page Carman, in the house by the Speaker of the House and then after the session was completed the premier of the province came out to meet us. The Honorable Dwight Ball, Premier.

The Entrance Atrium.
This is the rear lobby behind the Assembly Chamber. Carman took us through here when we had our tour.
